Stonebridge Health
Dr. Andrew Oteo
“Hi, I'm Dr. Andrew Oteo with Stonebridge Health. I have been with Aloha for about six years now and we have seen a lot of changes with our practice over the past few years. You know, I went from being a chiropractic-only practice to then incorporating physical therapy and then bringing in medical services. So, the layers of complexity that I've brought in have continued to grow, and the great news about Aloha is that it has also grown with me.
The software interface—we've been able to do patient reviews, that's just what they were known for as Review Wave, but there is so much more to Aloha. When we dig into it deeper, we can see that there's definitely a lot more in terms of me as a provider, but also me as a business owner, what I can look at to point at metrics. New patients are definitely a big factor for us. We love seeing that every week we get a report and it shows us how many new patients have scheduled online, and I attribute a lot of that towards the Google reviews that Aloha has helped us with accumulating.
We have over 700 just on the chiropractic side alone, and then on the physical therapy and the medical side, they've also helped us get over 100 on each one of those right now, and that's continued to grow. I have conversations with leaders around this profession, and one of the things that we keep running into is AI. We keep seeing that there's this huge software shift that's happening right now, and I love seeing that Aloha is on top of the trend. They're staying ahead of the curve on everything.
One of the things that I love about Aloha, the software itself, is we are out of the office on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Before, there was no way for us to actually be able to interact with these patients. I get messages sent to our inbox that I can interact with, but also Aloha has the AI interface to allow a new patient, if they call the office, it sends them a message and says, "Hey, we're not here right now, but if you can click on this link, we can get you scheduled as a new patient." If they're an existing patient, it sends them another message and says, "Hey, I know that you're trying to call and reschedule an appointment. Here's a link you can do that."
I love just the ease of accessibility that we have with communication with our patients. You know, I am trying to actively scale my practice as a business owner. The only way that I can do that is if I have some type of a dashboard, some type of a tool for me to keep my hand on the pulse of my business. So, rather than using my electronic health record—and we use ChiroTouch as our EHR—but rather than really relying upon that, I've found myself being more dependent upon checking Aloha on a daily basis, seeing what messages are coming through, seeing the appointment reminders, looking at the paperwork, making sure that everybody's doing what they need to do.
That for me has really been kind of like the nervous system of my whole practice. So, Aloha has truly kind of taken over as being the primary platform that I'm using right now to check my metrics, my data, the patient satisfaction surveys that are sent out. So, there's a lot of components to Aloha, but I really can't stress enough how much this has taken off of my team.
It is 2025 right now and technology is evolving and it's just getting better and better. Again, I love seeing that Aloha is staying at the bleeding edge of everything with technology. We have no other choice because rather than continuing to hire more and more people, we just need to get smarter and smarter with our technology. Truly, that's what Aloha brings to the table is they allow us to integrate with a technology that's helping to automate, delegate, and eliminate certain tasks that were taking time away from my team so we can really focus on pouring that back into the people in front of us and serving our patients at a higher level.”
