Hi, my name is Dr. Ben Rall, I’m a chiropractor in Orlando, Florida, and I started using Review Wave probably a couple few months ago now, if even that. And I was—I was one of those guys—not slow to do it, just, you know, we’re all busy. And so I had another texting platform that I used, and, you know, you really—I really didn’t know what I didn’t know.
So I had my staff kind of roll it out—I, honestly, I didn’t do anything with it. They just went through the onboarding process and uploading our numbers and names and all of that. And we’re a family wellness-based practice, so we’re a volume practice and seeing all different sorts of people on wellness and corrective care. So, you know, it’s managing that numbers and those volumes—and we’re a cash practice—is, you know, that can be one of the more challenging parts of running those types of models. And so missed appointments and making up appointments and keeping people on track and retention is always our struggle.
And so I’ve just noticed over these last few weeks—and this is actually during even the COVID stuff and all of that—you know, we actually were seeing our numbers improve and for tracking people and staying on top of people and keeping their appointments and that communication and allowing people to change their appointments or reschedule through the app—I mean, my staff has said that has made such a difference.
And so, you know, we always strive—the way we do stats in our office—we always strive to keep missed appointments, you know, down under 10% over the course of a week, and that’s just a way that we kind of manage based on our volume kind of how we’re doing. And so I’ve just noticed over these weeks like that number just had kept getting smaller and smaller and smaller to now like our missed appointments were like 3%, which for us is actually a really good number—I don’t know, you know, for everybody else how they run their offices, but for us that’s really fantastic. And most importantly for us, that just means people are staying on track with their care, right? That they’re getting the appointments that they need.
So all I can tell you is if that’s something that you’ve struggled with—and I’m like un-techy—I actually didn’t, again, I didn’t do any of it. They—the onboarding team and then my staff who’s not super techy either, you know, that process, they just kind of did what they were told and answered a few questions and it’s kind of been turnkey since then. So hopefully this helps somebody out there. If you’re thinking about Review Wave or just wondering, "Man, is it—is it actually that much better? Or, you know, can it actually move my numbers?" I think that would have been one of my arguments. Is it—does it actually even make a difference? Does it actually, you know, really move the numbers? And in our case, it really did.
